Dies Irae Ridge presents:
What is Hunter Jumper
Hunter over fences within DIRE is rooted in tradition, where horse and rider move forward with purpose, not urgency. The ideal round is not rushed or forced, but carried with balance, control, and quiet precision. It should appear effortless, as though each element is met with certainty rather than reaction.
Correctness, composure, and partnership take precedence over excess. What is valued is not raw athletic display, but the refinement of it.
This document outlines the expectations and requirements for hunter over fences competition within TTR.
How you will be judged:
PRESENTATION | 10 points
Attire and tack must reflect a clean, considered standard. Both horse and rider are expected to present with polish and intention.
Refer to the Attire & Tack section for full requirements.
PERFORMANCE | 10 points
The round should be carried with composure and control. Movement remains calm, confident, and uninterrupted.
Refusals, bucking, spooking, or loss of control will result in deductions.
PACE | 10 points
