Horse Categories and Breeds

In the equine world, horses are traditionally classified into three primary groups: Hotbloods, Warmbloods, and Coldbloods. In addition, there are subtypes within the categories themselves, Iberian, Stock, and Gaited, and non-standard breeds that don’t always fit anywhere specific. However, each category reflects distinct characteristics in temperament, movement, and physical build that we will attempt to consolidate into a working guide

Within DIRE, these classifications will be examined individually to define their expectations, behavior profiles, and performance standards. This system establishes a structured framework for accurately identifying, presenting, and judging horses within RedM competition environments.
